You will be admitted under the direct care of an accredited Consultant Psychiatrist who oversees your overall medical and psychiatric management. Your daily care is supported by a comprehensive team of registered psychiatric nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
Limited short-term visitor parking is available at the front of the hospital on Warrigal Road. Please note that admitted inpatients are not permitted to bring or park vehicles on hospital grounds.
Yes. Delmont Hospital is accessible via train (Burwood or Glen Iris stations on the Alamein / Glen Waverley lines) and connecting bus routes along Warrigal Road (Route 903 SMARTBUS stops directly outside the hospital).
Day program participants should bring their referral details, Medicare / private health cards, and any required daily medication. Lunch and morning/afternoon tea are provided.
To join a Day Program, you require a referral from a Delmont accredited psychiatrist or your treating doctor. You can contact our Day Program Intake Clinician directly on (03) 9805 7371.
Visiting hours and policies are scheduled to balance therapeutic group participation and rest. Please check with reception upon arrival or call (03) 9805 7333 for current visiting guidelines.
The estimated length of stay varies according to individual treatment plans, typically ranging between 14 to 21 days for general adult, aged psychiatry, and substance use programs.
Due to food safety and dietary regulations, outside food cannot be brought in or stored in hospital refrigerators without prior approval from clinical staff.
Yes, mobile devices are permitted for personal use in private rooms. Free Wi-Fi is provided. For patient confidentiality, photography and recording anywhere on hospital grounds is strictly prohibited.

Delmont accepts patients with private health insurance cover for psychiatric care, DVA cardholders, WorkCover, TAC, and self-funded patients. Our intake team will conduct a fund eligibility check prior to admission.
